About the Role

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Lead Teachers to join our team. 


Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.

- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment.

-Monitor child progress and communicate regularly with parents.

Requirements

Must meet qualifications as per NYC DOHMH Article 47 (either option):


Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

Option 1 – Baccalaureate Degree with State Certification: A baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of study approved by the Department, and a valid certification issued by the New York State Education Department.


Option 2 – Baccalaureate Degree with Experience: A baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of study approved by the Department, and a minimum of two (2) years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a pre-school program, provided the applicant is currently employed in a permitted child care program.


All candidates must also have:

  • Clearance through Section 47.19 (OCFS fingerprinting via IdentoGO)

  • Current CPR & First Aid certification

  • Mandated Reporter training

  • SIDS/Safe Sleep training

  • Enrollment in the NYC Aspire Registry

  • Minimum 15 hours of professional development every 24 months
